An Isle of Man based photographer
There is no long story about how the company was formed or that from a young age I knew I'd be a photographer. I simply fell into it and it and persued a love and passion for photography. Above all else, dkphotography aims to deliver a good, honest service for those looking for a photographer and at the same time, being an avid supporter of supporting local, right here on our doorstep.
In term of quality of the service that I provide, you don't have to take my word for it, just check out some of my work in the client gallery or feedback and judge for yourself.
With a range of services on offer from headshots to large crowd events, there isn't much that I haven't photographed over the last 10 years.

Throughout the year from September until March you'll find dkphotography capturing memories for parents for the Isle of Man Dance Teachers Association (IOMDTA) dance competitions. These are held in the Royal Hall in the Villa Marina. The IOMDTA are the only Ballroom affiliated association on the island through the British Dance Council.
The Isle of Man holds it's own on the International stage when it comes to Ballroom Dancing, having produced at the time of writing this, the Junior British Classical Sequence Champions and the Junior British Modern Sequence Champions.
dkphotography the relevant enhanced DBS certificate issued by the British Dance Council to be able to capture photographs at dance competitions in the Isle of Man and the UK.
100% recommend Dave and his photography services.
My son had a headshot shoot recently, and from the initial query right up to the communication after the shoot; Dave has been fantastic from start to finish.
Cost, location, what we needed to provide was all clearly advised beforehand.
When we arrived on the day Dave greeted us and then almost 2 hours later, after lots of laughter, creativity and fun was had, the shoot was over. My son said he would rate the experience 11/10 mainly down to how awesome Dave was.
I absolutely love the photos Dave captured of my daughter in her mini photo shoot this weekend. She walked in feeling very nervous as she doesn’t usually entertain getting her photo taken. Dave was really patient with her, giving her prompts and encouragement all the way through. Towards the end she even started to enjoy it. I couldn’t thank DKphotographiom enough for our photo memories.
Dave has covered a couple of our events now and always captures the action brilliantly! Its a skill to photograph players undetected (especially in highly tense matches!) and he always manages to create very impressive images of players, often while they're mid air and mid smash!
Wow is all I can say, Dave from the first message was phenomenal. We hired Dave for an event for my dance school presentation evening and also his brand new flower wall back drop. Which looks absolutely amazing in all of the photos!!
Absolutely amazing service from Dave, he photographed my little girls christening and captured such special little moments that will be treasured forever! Dave is a lovely lovely person and right from the get go has been so easy to get along with!
these are just some of the most common questions asked.

That being said, I have a camera bag and I am willing to travel and done commission work in the UK on a number of occasions. So have passport and will travel.
Answer. I wouldn't class myself as a wedding photographer. I can and do shoot weddings and have done numerous over the years. There are some great dedicated wedding photographers on the Isle of Man, but if you'd like to discuss shooting your wedding, then please do get in touch.
Answer. The simple answer to this question is always - all of them and there is never a cap on the number of photos taken.
I don’t gatekeep or offer a package that promises 3, 4, or 5 high-res digital photos and some additional prints. My prices reflect this as you get everything.
Answer. The turnaround depends on the event, timing, and the number of photos taken. However, I always aim to get the photos back to people as soon as physically possible, so you can see and share them.
All photographs are available as digital downloads via the secure dkphotography gallery.
Answer. With any photos loaded to the dkphotography website, you have the option to purchase prints or wall art directly from the website.
I use a dedicated photographic print lab in the UK. They've been in business for just over 30 years, producing high quality prints and printed photographic products.
Answer. You wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, it obviously depends on the type of photoshoot and the weather.
Answer. If the date is free in my calendar and I'm able then not a problem. I work on a per event system. Arrivals, part-attendance, full attendance you decide. I always try to capture as much as possible with no limit on the number of photos taken, with the timeframe given.
Answer. I don't have set prices or packages and work on a per event pricing basis. As each event is different there is no one price fits all. If you'd like a quote, then please drop me an email .
Answer. Depending on your event and its date, a deposit is required to hold your booking date. This ensures that dkphotography isn't turning away work only to have bookings cancelled or result in a no-show.
By taking a deposit this protects dkphotography and provides you with added commitment. All deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from the final invoice. All payments are made via bank transfer and accompanied by invoices.
